Use of a free choice device requires that the milk replacer solution be kept cool (< 60° F.) to prevent over consumption. Kids may need to be trained to suckle from nipples; however, they will readily adapt in a day or two. Always offer fresh milk replacer. Feeding equipment should be cleaned each day.
