Freeport Equestrian Center is a premier full service lesson, training, sales and show facility located in Freeport, Maine. Bobby Murray and Sarah Watson, both USDF Bronze and Silver medalists training through Grand Prix, specialize in quality dressage training for horses and youth, adult amateur, and professional riders.
To support their program, Bobby has been working with and feeding Poulin Grain for close to 20 years. “I was previously a fan of a national competitor, but they did not have service,” Bobby says. “I developed a close working relationship Andrew Beals (our original feed specialist, may he rest in peace) as a representative for a grain manufacturer that I could get ahold of and touch. The quality of Poulin grain is high, and back that up with the service by knowledgeable local reps, and access to PhD equine nutritionists, and it can’t be beat.
The horses are the proof and the reason we’re still here- they look good and do well at our high level of competition. I don’t have to worry about the grain part of it, the quality is always there.
I like that I can mix and match feeds confidently to balance a ration with the help of my feed specialist. We get a hay analysis through Poulin Grain regularly and we readjust as needed. Right now we’re up on number of horses, and down on grain use because our hay quality went up and we accounted for that in the diets with our rep.
We stand behind what we feed in our program and will always be an out spoken ambassador not only for the feed but also the team that supports it.”
